The wheel
Free consequence wheel
This is the tool. Add a child, for example Devin, 13, and the suggested slices move to the teen list. Switch any of them off. Add your own wording. If you turn on an amount, a second spin picks a number inside the range you set, and the result reads like “Devin: No phone for 2 days.”
Free wheel
Spin a parent-approved consequence
The wheel only chooses options you leave switched on. Agree on them before anyone is upset, and follow through calm, never in anger.
Add a name if you want it in the result. Spin when the list feels fair.
Consequences on the wheel
Switch suggestions off, edit the wording, reorder them, or add your own.
Spanking
Suggested for about ages 2–18. Parent-chosen. Only when you are calm, never in anger. You can turn this off.
Amount 1–3 swats
Wall sits
Back on the wall, knees bent, feet flat. Keep it short. Stop if anything hurts.
Amount 20–60 seconds
Chores
A small job you already named. It ends when the job is done, not when the evening is over.
Amount 1–3 chores
Time out
A short, boring pause nearby, where you can see them. Then they come back.
Amount 1–5 minutes
No screens
Screens stop because of a screen problem, or until the agreed task is done. Keep it the same day.
Amount 1–3 hours
Redo the chore
The job gets finished before play. Do the first minute together if they are stuck.
Calm-down time
A short, quiet reset in a boring spot, then a one-sentence redo. Not a shame corner.
Amount 2–8 minutes
Repair with a note
A drawing or a short note to the person affected. Do not force a fake apology.
Game or toy rests
The item that was misused is put away, then comes back the same day.
Amount 1–3 hours
Practice the skill
Try the missing skill once: asking, waiting, telling the truth, or using a calm voice.
Help fix what broke
Pick up, wipe, tape, or earn toward replacing something they damaged.
Earn the next turn
The next turn, outing, or episode waits until the repair or task is done.
What the wheel will and will not do
It chooses among slices you left on. It does not invent a new punishment, and it does not know your child. If a landing feels wrong, the list was not ready. Turn that slice off before the next spin. Do not spin again to shop for a harsher result.
Spanking is one suggested slice for about ages 2–18. It is parent-chosen: leave it on if it fits your family, or turn it off. Use it calm, never in anger. An optional second spin can pick 1–3 swats. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises against spanking, and HealthyChildren says not to take away a meal. Families do not all agree. Taking food away and humiliation are not slices, and custom wording for those is declined.
Amount spins stay small on purpose
A phone slice might be 1–3 days. A calm-down slice might be a few minutes. You can edit the minimum, maximum, step, and the unit, which is just text you write. Very wide ranges are rejected so the amount wheel stays readable. The caps live in one place in the project so they can be tightened later.
Saved on this device
The profile, the list, and recent results stay in this browser. Clearing site data clears them. A future account on the app can import that same saved shape after you choose to move it. Until then, the note under the wheel is the waitlist, not a second product.
