Coming in the app
A discipline log that stays in the family
The free wheel can remember a few spins in this browser. A discipline log is the longer record: what happened, which agreed consequence you used, whether you followed through, and a line about the next day. It is not a public chart and it is not a school points board.
The app that will hold that log is not open yet. It is planned for app.consequencewheel.com, separate from this marketing site. The design goal is simple: the log is visible to the family and to an admin the family chooses, and to nobody’s ad network.
What a useful entry looks like
- When it happened, in ordinary words. “Tuesday, shoes, 7:50.”
- Which slice landed, including the amount if you spun one. “Fun waited 10 minutes.”
- Whether you did it. A log full of consequences you skipped teaches you more than it teaches your child.
- One note the next day. “He started with one reminder.”
Why not a spreadsheet forever
A spreadsheet works until the phone changes or two caregivers cannot find the same file. The wheel’s on-device history is a bridge. The saved shape is versioned so an account, once it exists, can take the local list and recent spins with you if you choose to move them. Until that account exists, do not expect this browser to sync to another one.
What the log is not
It is not a score that children perform for relatives. It is not a place to store humiliating notes. It is not medical documentation. If you are worried about safety, talk with a pediatrician rather than hoping a log will fix it.
You can use the consequence wheel today, print a consequence chart, or read how a behavior tracker differs from a log of decisions.
