Questions about the wheel
What is a consequence wheel?
A list of consequences you already accept, drawn as a wheel. The spin picks one so you are not inventing a penalty while you are upset. On this site you can edit every slice.
Is the wheel free?
Yes. The wheel in your browser is free. The private family app is not for sale yet, and no price is published because none is set.
Does it include spanking?
Yes, as a parent-chosen slice for about ages 2–18. Leave it on if it fits your family, or turn it off. The optional amount spin defaults to 1–3 swats. Use it calm, never in anger. The AAP advises against corporal punishment; families differ. Custom wording that takes food away or humiliates is still declined.
How does the amount spin work?
On a slice, you can enable a minimum, a maximum, a step, and a unit such as days or minutes. After the consequence lands, you can spin again for a number in that range. A single-number range is applied without a second spin.
Where is my child’s information stored?
The child’s name, age, list, and recent results stay in this browser’s local storage under the key consequencewheel.v1. We do not receive them. The waitlist, if you join it, stores your email and an optional child age. A private family log is planned for the app and is not live.
What ages is it for?
Suggestions cover toddlers through teens. Curfew slices are written for older kids. You should still edit. A guide is not a diagnosis.
Can two caregivers share a list?
Not yet, unless you use the same browser profile or a printable. Accounts are part of the app plan.
Is this professional advice?
No. It is general information. If you are worried about safety, mental health, or development, talk with a pediatrician or another qualified clinician.
